Aside from extraversion trait, neuroticism is another personality trait that is associated with social network site in particular Facebook. Wehrli (2008) found positive association between neuroticism and social network sites use, lending neurotic individuals to spend more time on social networking sites because they might try to present themselves in an unstained and attractive manner. This finding is consistent with Moore and McElroy (2011)‟s study regarding Facebook, which states that neurotic users spend more time on the site. In addition, openness to experience trait was said to be related with Facebook use. More open individuals used more features from the personal information section as compared to those who scored lower on this trait (Ross et al., 2009) and people who are more open are more expressive on their Facebook profile (Amichai-Hamburger and Vinitzky, 2010).
