Histopathologic features of Notexin-induced acute myoinjury of TA. The top images: standard H&E staining for morphologic assessment. The bottom images: Dystrophin immunofluorescence staining (green). On day 0 (d0) (prior to myoinjury), the muscle appears normal. On day 4, full-blown necrosis and myophagocytosis are evident. On day 7, small regenerating myofibers with central nuclei neighbored by mononuclear inflammatory cells have appeared. On day 10, decreased inflammatory changes are seen in healing muscle. Bar = 50μm.
