Mike Guevara is a Partner in the law firm of Shahan Guevara Decker Arrott. Mike graduated from The University of Texas School of Law in 1999. Prior to attending UT, he received his B A degree Magna Cum Laude from Mid-America Nazarene University in 1996. During his third year of law school, he worked as an aide for a state representative during legislative session. Mike has represented municipalities during his entire legal career. During this time, he gained broad experience with municipal issues. He has presented the topic of “Dealing with the TCEQ” at a seminar for appointed and elected government officials. Mike also enjoys helping families in their adoption of children and has spoken to church groups regarding adoption. He views his practice of law as a career and a ministry.
Mike was born in Dallas, Texas, to Manuel and Jennifer Guevara. His father has spent his entire career with the Dallas Police Department, and his mother is a nurse who has worked in hospitals, for Dallas Independent School District and for a private school. When not practicing law, Mike enjoys spending time with his wife, Amy, and two children, Chloe and Anthony; coaching football at Hill Country Christian School of Austin; participating in pretty much anything athletic and working with cars.
