The moisture content found was 3.39 ± 0.005 mg/kg. High moisture content is characteristic of macauba pulp oil [1,26,28].However, we found 4.93 ± 0.084 mg/kg in the macauba pulp ethyl ester. Moisture content is one of the most frequently analyzed parameters for foods, oils and fuel. High values in biofuels can accelerate deterioration processes, saturate filtering systems and
hinder combustion reactions. Moisture content is both an impor-tant component and indicator of product quality[32].
