Pinus eldarica (Pinaceae) is a
medium-sized tree, reaching 12–15m high. The bark is
brownish gray or light gray, not flaking, and head broadtopped.
The leaves are stiff, 6–9 cm long, and green.Thecones
are pedunculate, solitary or in pairs, and light reddish brown.
Scales irregularly rhombic, glossy, smooth, the whitish-gray
apophysis concave: seeds blackish, 6-7mmlong, the reddishbrown
wing 18–28mm long
