seed hulls there is a significant decrease in cellulose
content after the flushing of mushrooms, indicating that
more cellulose is used during fruiting. There was no
mycelial growth and thus no yield when elephant grass
was used. This does not compare favourably with the
results of Zhanzi and Zhanhua [13] who recorded high
yields of mushroom. Further treatments, such as composting
the substrates for varying periods, can improve
yield.
