I have been thinking of you a lot lately too but I have not been aware of the rallies in Thailand, except what you told me. Here factory workers have been marching for better salary, but they have been peaceful although a little inconvenient. My daytime work has increased considerably although I was hoping the opposite would be true now that we have more foreigners. And the build-up for next week's final exam has meant many overtime hours for me too... I am very unhappy with the administration at the moment, they have been making my job difficult to do. For example the administratior told the IT guy he is not allowed to help me to clean the virus from my flash drive, which I got from school computer. He also denied me to use the scanner to copy an activity book with maths and English exercises, to give the other teachers some ready-made worksheets to use in classroom: I know all the teachers are very busy and they don't always have time ir facility to make their own exercises - and it is only wasting time to create something that's been done already!
Today the school had a promotional workshop about child psychology. There was also a speech from an insurance company that sponsors the school. The children sang and danced too and at the end students were given a certificate for their efforts or progress. The head of nursery department chose the kids she likes though, nothing to do with their learning. I think that's wrong, they could have left the nursery out of it or give certificate to everyone, American style. You can't judge kids as young as that
