I am pleased to announce the appointment of Reza Kasuri who will join Risk
Management on 1st December 2014 as Risk Manager AMEA in the Singapore
Corporate Office, reporting directly to me.
Reza will be responsible for supporting the safety agenda for our hotels and
corporate offices in the Asia Australasia region and will work to assist me to meet
the AMEA Ambition and Responsible Business agenda.
Before joining IHG, Reza was holding the role of Risk Prevention Department Head
for Carrefour Singapore & Malaysia. During that time, he was responsible for conducting store risk audits
and also provided key support to Store Directors for matters pertaining to risk management.
Reza is currently the Security & Safety Manager at the Holiday Inn Singapore Atrium. He is also holding
the concurrent appointment of Fire Safety Manager for the hotel and shopping centre. He is responsible
for driving the hotel’s Brand Safety Standards compliance, managing incidents and investigations,
supporting the hotel in meeting Workplace Safety and Health regulatory requirements and oversees the
in-house Food Safety Management Systems & HACCP program. As a cluster risk management champion
for the Singapore & Batam hotels, he provides his expertise to support his fellow risk management
colleagues in the hotels to drive success in the Safe Hotel agenda. Reza is also a key attribute to the
exciting major refurbishment of the hotel, being responsible for the overall Health & Safety program.
Reza recently received the ‘Public Spirited’ award from the Commander of the Singapore Police Force, an
achievement which he is extremely proud of. He was awarded for his dedicated involvement in the
successful planning of crisis, safety and security table top and simulation exercises with the neighbouring
hotels in Singapore.
Reza is currently pursuing his degree in Business Analytics. He also has qualifications in Security
Operations & Investigation, HACCP, Health & Safety, and Fire Safety Management. He is a member of the
Fire Safety Managers' Association (Singapore). He was also academically trained as an Electronics
Engineer. He speaks and writes excellent English, Malay and Bahasa Indonesia.
