Levels of testing
Three levels of testing were conducted to the original Opera Slinger 1.0 software and modifications were made to the game for use as a therapeutic protocol. A Macbook Pro laptop computer (Apple Inc., Cupertino, CA), Dual Action gamepad (Logitech, Fremont, CA), and Clearchat Comfort Universal Serial Bus headphone with attached microphone (Logitech) were used to test the video game. Investigators examined the viability of each hardware component before use with the participants. The video game Opera Slinger was uploaded and accessible on the user desktop for a shortcut access to the game. No other computer applications were accessible. Participants were directed to sign on to the game and follow the instructions on the user interface. Modifications were made after each level and changes were recorded in a log.
