Table I clearly incorporates the answers to the questions such as “What is
information literacy?”, “What should information literate students be like?”, and “What
are the graduates required to know by the accrediting professional organisation indocuments have been extracted and placed in a comparison chart (Table I).terms of information literacy?”. It is essential to clarify the answers to these questions
in order that academic staff, librarians and other collaborative parties have a clear
understanding of why information literacy is important and why it needs to be integrated into the curriculum. These intended curricula were used as guidelines for discussions with academic staff or librarians or when planning and designing the information literacy curricula.
