To summarise, the current data successfully replicated the essential factor structures of the Miller and Smith nursing intuition measures. The scale scores corresponding to these factors were used in all further analyses.
Relationship among nursing measures
Scale scores on the five Miller factors and six Smith factors were correlated with scores on the Rew measure to better understand the nature of intuition preference in nursing. The results show that almost all aspects of each of the three measures were significantly correlated with one another (Table 3). Overall, these results show a positive manifold. All three inventories tap similar constructs, yet the moderate nature of these relationships suggests that the factors are relatively unique.
