Chapter 5 is to let know the Diagnosis for change. The most valuable things I learnt from this chapter are to understand the role of diagnosis models, apply a range of diagnostic instruments relevant to various aspects of the process of managing. By understand the different models and instruments that we can find the most suitable way of managing our own business.
The diagnosis model refers to the operation of the organization as a whole. Managers use the different diagnostic tools to build their knowledge based on the needs of change. There are several models can provide to manager to choose, the six-box organizational model, star model, Congruence model, Burke-Litwin Model and Four Frame model. Manager can built their own confidence by choose the correct diagnosis model. Each model represent the different ways of managing change. However I needs to pay attention the linkage of each elements on the different models. Once we’ve understand the relation detweent each elements than it would be easy for us to express and use them as a tool during the management change.
