1. Contractors written procedures shall contain the following minimum information:
• Pre-test system check list (bolt condition/tightness checks, weld visual/NDE, piping installation checks etc.)
• Test pressure and test duration
• Ambient air temperature checks (relevant to brittle fracture)
• Location of air / gas supply into the pressure system
• The position and specification of safety valves (including set pressure relief) and pressure gauges
• The position of isolation valves
• The sequence of opening vent valves when more than one venting position to be used
• A marked up PFD showing the position of all isolation valves, nonreturn valves, pressure gauges, test medium supply points, vent valves and blanking plates.
• The dimension of the designated test area (exclusion zone)
• Stages of pressurization, including early low-pressure checks and subsequent pressure hold points
• Permit to work for safe working conditions prior to test, during the test, and after the test (depressurizing, venting, etc.) 2. Each procedure shall be discussed during the Execution Risk Assessment meeting arranged with all involved parties and contractors 3. Avoid application of any dynamic and rapid loads on the metal subjected to pneumatic pressure test (incidental dropping of hammer or other tools, significant thermal shocks etc.)
