Sugarcane trashes were collected from near by Sugarcane Breeding Institute (SBI), Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India and shade dried for 48 hours. Then the trashes were chopped into small pieces. A known quantity of sugarcane trash (500g) each were taken separately in four compost chambers and the moisture level was maintained at 60%
