In reviewing IT academic literature, one finds that a wide range of firm-level factors
have the potential to enable IT adoption, including those relating to a firm’s
technological opportunism, technological orientation, organizational innovativeness,
technology portfolio and absorptive capacity (Tsikriktsis et al., 2004), or factors related
to top management support, organization culture, and characteristics of IS
professionals (Tarafdar and Vaidya, 2007).
