This thematic paper is to propose a process to improve the optical network maintenance. Fiber optical connection locations are collected using Global Position System (GPS). Also the distance from both the beginning and the end of fiber optic cable are measured by using the Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR).
Later, the designed database including the location and distance of the fiber optical connection is applied with Google Earth application. The application can be implemented and used in either Computer or Smartphone devices.
