The results of the present research supported the line of findings reported by several authors stressing the importance of family and peer variables as risk conditions, high lyrelated with adolescent heavy alcohol consumption. This study could fit successfully a structural equation modeling where parental monitoring, father adolescent relationship and complacency to drinking pressure by peers, confirmedas causal variables of drinking behavior.
