as the beds of brackish lagoons.
Most specimens were small
juveniles, such estbe example
shown here, which could suggest
that the adults were migratory
and perhaps even marine. The
young died when tne water's salt
level rose and became too high,
and toe fish were riot sufficiently
large t~leave the protective
waters of their nursery lagoon.
