Denmark showed a tendency to increase from 2001 to 2005 after
which it decreased until 2009 (Fig. 5). The peak in 2005 was due toremarkably high mean concentrations for chilled meat, which is not
readily explained. The high concentrations in Danish chilled meat
in 2005 were confirmed by data from another Danish surveillance
programme sampling chilled broiler meat at slaughter houses (data
not shown).
