As the great author Henry David Thoreau once said: “Men have become the tools of their tools” (as cited in: 1-C Economy). The fact that this quote is over one hundred and fifty years old shows that we are in fact not dealing with a new problem, but simply a continuum of the human need for novelty and constant development. The difference between back then and the society we live in today is made by the purposes for which we use technology. More specifically, the shift in focus from the actual technological features, to the content they provide.
