2.2. P. malaianus seeds
Mature fruits of P. malaianus were obtained from constructed wetlands close to Lake Dianchi in November 2007 and kept in water
at 4 ◦C for 6 months. After that, the pericarp was peeled off and ripe
seeds were taken out of the fruits. The seeds were cleaned with deionized water, and uniformly sized, healthy and full ones were chosen for subsequent experiments.
