In many ways, inductive VTs are similar to the power
transformers. The leakage inductance of the VT windings and
stray capacitances form a resonant circuit. This resonance of
the VT limits the bandwidth over which it may be used to
provide accurate measurements. A comparison of 300kV and
132kV VTs used on the Norwegian power system [3]
showed at higher order harmonics, the gain of different VTs
varied greatly, with some causing amplification errors of up
to 4.5pu.
