A good energy management system will provide both standard and customizable
displays that can be configured as needed to meet the specific needs of each user. Energy
management systems log data captured from many meters and data historians across
a plant to trend both raw measurements and EnPIs for each reporting area of the plant.
An energy management system should also provide real-time display screens for
dashboards as well as the ability to export data, EnPIs, and reports to external stakeholders,
such as finance and plant management personnel. Again, each of these elements
must be customizable to meet the specific needs of the end user, whether their focus is
operational, financial, or energy engineering related.
