The u.s. Funded Radio Free Asia broadcast and online news service got their information from family sources and local politician in Xinjiang who in turn told the media about jail notices they had seen
The two Uighurs were with a group of about 20 who were looking for asylum in Cambodia after ethic riots between Uighurs and majority Han Chinese in Xinjiang capital of Urumqi in July 2009 Another person in the group was jailed for 17 year Radio Free Asia also that the jail term of the other were not known because court proceeding happened in secret.
The imprisonment of these men who were forcefully deported from their asylum should make the world concerned about the cruel treatment awaiying Uighur demo strator during the riots that killed nearly 200 people many of them Han Chinese
