By comparing the two waveforms it is obvious that the width of the recovery current in the bifilar secondary
winding decreases in the converter with new topology in comparison with the conventional bifilar converter and
also the mode of discharging of the bifilar secondary winding changes to a better mode in the new topology. In
fact after the induction of the recovery energy from the phase winding to the bifilar secondary one, the period of
discharging in Fig. 17 is longer from this period in Fig. 18 in which it seems that the discharging happens in an
instant. Fig. 19 compares the timing of discharging for the bifilar secondary winding for one phase in both Bifilar
and new topology converter. The upper waveform is for bifilar converter and the other one is for the new topology
converter.
