Conclusion
This study provides preliminary support for the effectiveness
of an occupational therapist–delivered activity
pacing intervention tailored to symptom and activity
patterns on reducing fatigue in adults with OA. Future
research to replicate and extend the findings in larger
studies is needed. Given that fatigue is an important
clinical symptom in knee and hip OA, interventions such
as the one reported here will be needed to address this
growing public health problem
