3. Forest quality along the delineation corridor and management zones :
Grid cell sized 1 km2 was overlaid on the delineated corridor to evaluate forest quality. Forest quality in each grid ranged from 0 % to 100% of primary forest (excluded secondary for- est, bamboo forest, degraded forest, human dominated zones, plantation, and water bodies) and separated into 4 equal levels; 0-25 %, 26-50%, 51-75% and 76-100%.
Evaluation of habitat qualities can use for demarcating 4 management zones including;
1) Maintenance zones are the areas covering more than 50% of high quality habitat
2) Natural regeneration zones have less than 50% but more than 1% of good habitat
3) Man-made restoration zones are composed of less than 1 % and
4) Sustainable use zones areas in man-made restoration overlapping with more than 50% of human dominated zones.
