The intervention for Health Enhancement after Leaving protocol is a practice model in which the Strengthening Capacity to Limit Intrusion theory is used to draw upon and augment women’s
knowledge and skills in strengthening capacity to limit intrusion
(Wuest et al., 2013). A full discussion of how we drew
on the original qualitative data, other salient research, and
expert practice philosophies to develop the intervention for Health Enhancement after Leaving can be
found in Wuest et al. (2013). In Table 1, we specify the
philosophical orientation of the intervention, guiding principles,
and the structure (Ford-Gilboe, Merritt-Gray, et al.,
2011).
