HISTORY: A case presenting with liver mass from ultrasound.
PRE AND POST CONTRAST STUDY AXIAL CT SCAN OF THE WHOLE ABDOMEN WITH TRIPLE PHASE CONTRAST:
The study reveals normal size, shape and parenchymal attenuation of the liver. There is a 2.6x2.1-cm well-defined hypodense mass at superoanterior segment of right hepatic lobe (segment VIII), with peripheral enhancement on portovenous phase and complete contrast fill-in on delayed phase 10 minutes. No arterial enhancement is noted. Linear non-enhancing hypodense lesion at superior segment of right hepatic lobe is noted. No bile duct dilatation is seen.
The gallbladder, pancreas, spleen, both kidneys and both adrenal glands appear unremarkable.
Not well-distended stomach with thickened wall is detected.
Visualized bowel loops appear unremarkable.
The urinary bladder is well-distended without internal lesion or thickened wall.
There is no significant intra-abdominal lymphadenopathy or ascites.
The included both lower lungs are clear. No pleural effusion is seen.
IMPRESSION: A 2.6x2.1-cm well-defined hypodense mass at superoanterior segment of right hepatic lobe (segment VIII), with peripheral enhancement on portovenous phase and complete contrast fill-in on delayed phase 10 minutes, representing with hepatic hemangioma.
Linear non-enhancing hypodense lesion at superior segment of right hepatic lobe, probably fibrotic change from post inflammatory process.
Not well-distended stomach with thickened wall.
