thought about who will absorb the loss if your vehicle or its
contents are stolen or damaged while you are off doing important
things? Probably not. Or, if you did, the stray
thought was casually dismissed as something not worth worrying
about. Some courts believe that the average motorist
understands the various legal relationships among which the
lot operator and motorist might jointly choose.' That belief is
