The performance characteristics of the method were established by assays employing standard solutions, blank samples, and spiked samples. Linearity, trueness (recovery and certified reference material), precision under repeatability and within-reproducibility conditions, and theoretical limits of detection and quantification were the parameters evaluated [24]. The significance level adopted for the statistical analysis was α = 0.05. The fitness-for-purpose of this method was assessed based on the results of the established performance characteristics. The development of the analytical method was performed following the guidelines referred by Manual Analytical Quality Assurance, Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food Supply — MAPA, and according to the 657/2002/EC [24] and 836/2011/EC [25]
