The methanol and ethanol extracts of leaves showed
maximum activity against all organisms except Salmonella
typhi, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Proteus mirabilis
where as flower extract showed less activity against
Proteus mirabilis. The aqueous extract of leaves showed
inhibitory activity against microorganism compared to
aqueous extract of leaves showed inhibitory activity
against microorganism compared to aqueous flower
extract. The minium inhibitory concentration (MIC)
ranged between 25 mg/ml and 50 mg/ml depending on
microorganisms and various extracts38
