Outcome Measurements Nutrition Knowledge. The primary study out come was food label literacy and nutrition-related knowledge regarding healthful food choices (Figure 1) Children's ability to choose "better for you" foods was based on a standardized test instrument using nutrition labels from some of the kinds of food products (breads crackers, cereals, cereal bars, and cookies), discussed in the Nutrition Detectives program.
