In a tokamak, bremsstrahlung emission from runaway electrons is frequently employed as the main technique for determining the averaged flux and time-resolved maximum energy of runaway electrons. The energy range of this radiation in the EAST, which generates high-energy hard x-rays, is around 0.2 MeV to 20 MeV.
