Semimetallic lining materials were developed
to eliminate the disadvantages of fully metallic linings.
Semimetallic linings are made of iron fibers
molded with an adhesive matrix. Semimetallic material
offers excellent fade resistance that meets the needs of
today's vehicles. It has good frictional characteristics so
only a moderate amount of application pressure is
needed. Finally, semimetallic pads and shoes do not
cause excessive wear on rotor or drum surfaces
