THE MEMBERS OF SAKURAI HOUSEHOLD #SHOnuary
- Shun-san is currently at the top of bureaucracy, and known for his admirable work ethics. He despised the entertainment world at first, but now he's so proud of Sho that he often brags about him and keeps a collection of Sho's pictures in his phone.
- Yoko-san is a strict, but a bit eccentric mother. When Sho first joined News Zero, she would send him texts mocking him like, "You stumbled on your words again just now. LOL"
Sho picked the habit of extreme time management from her.
- One of the rules in the household is that you must respect the elders, so Shu and Mai were taught to address their big brother as "Sho-san". But much to Sho's dismay, they keep calling him "Sho-CHAN" instead.
- Even though Sho began to live on his own in 2010, he still spends time with his family sometimes; he gives them presents on their birthdays and anniversaries, organizes trips for them, goes out eating lunch with Mai, and goes to watch Shu's rugby matches. He described himself as the family's "event planner" and the "member of Sakurai's Board of Directors" who helps his parents making decisions about his siblings. The family lives in the students neighborhood in Minato, Tokyo.
- Sho's grandparents are so well-known in Gunma that the locals claimed that Sakurai Sho was born in Gunma instead of Tokyo. It was hinted that their house resembles Mimura Takuya's house in Yamada Taro Monogatari. Sho and his family usually go to visit them during New Year holidays.
