Drying Thr ee hundred gram s of samp le slices were used in
each treatmen t. The samp les were arrange d in a single thin-lay er and wer e r emov ed ev ery 2 h f or we i ghi ng dur ing
dryin g in an oven at 60 °C and uncont rolled sun dryin g
until the moi sture conten t of the dried pumpk in slic es be-come 10 %. The relative humidit y of the ambient air durin g
dryin g was meas ured by the hygrometer (mode l No. 8612,
sensitivity ± 1.09). The relative humidity varied between
20 % a nd 43.5 % while remained to be 6.5 % for open sun
dryin g and oven dryin g, respec tively. The dry-bu lb temper-ature was meas ured using the same hygrom eter and was
varie d between 20.2 and 30.2 °C for sun dryin g and kept
const ant at 60 °C for oven dryin g, respec tively.
