Tao rested his head on Kris' shoulder.
"I hate take off. It makes me queezy." Tao complained. The plane started to pick up speed on the runway. Tao closed his eyes tightly and breathed in a large amount of air. Kris carefully placed his hand on the other's knee. Tao visibly relaxed under his touch.
Two hours later the plane landed at the airport. "Welcome to Jeju, baby." Kris grabbed Tao's hand as they walked through the exit into the humid air.
Tao smiled lightly. "It's going to be a good weekend." They boarded a cab and headed toward the hotel.
The cab pulled up to a luxurious white building. "Here it is." The driver announced.
The two stepped out and immediately stared at the beautiful building that held their first memories together. Kris grabbed their bag out of the trunk and waved the taxi off.
"Let's go." Kris put his arm around Tao's waist and guided him to the front desk.
They rode the elevator to their third floor room.
Kris opened the door for Tao. "It's beautiful!" Tao exclaimed. Kris could see the view of the golf course and ocean out of their room. Since it was winter, their was a thick amount of fog that hung in the air.
Kris walked up to Tao who was looking out the window. "I will never get tired of this place, especially when I am with you." Kris laced his arms around Tao's waist and rested his chin on the younger's shoulder. Kris kissed Tao's ear lightly. "Let's go eat dinner, Panda." And with that, the two of them headed out of the room and down to the lobby.
Dinner was romantic. They ate spaghetti at a candlelit table. Both of them couldn't help but feel it was a tad bit cheesy, but they didn't care. It was a good atmosphere.
Dessert came and went. Finally, the couple was strolling the grounds of the hotel under the dim light that the setting sun cast on the property. Kris purposely took Tao to a garden with a gazebo in the center. Tao looked around and a tear started to fall from his eye. "Why are you crying Panda? Isn't this place supposed to hold a happy memory?"
Tao sniffled.
"Remember, I ran into you and you dropped the tray into the pond? You were pissed at me." Kris laughed. "But after that moment, I couldn't get you out of my mind. So I followed you around."
"I guess it was fate that I was serving at your cousin's wedding." Tao managed to say.
Tao eyed a bench and motioned for Kris to go and sit with him.
"I hated my life. I moved from job to job not really finding a place that was worth staying at." More tears started to roll down Tao's cheeks as he said this. "I thought that working odd jobs was all my life would be.....Then I met you. You changed everything Kris." Kris grabbed Tao's hand and placed it in his lap drawing circles on the other's palm. "You made me learn what love is. You are the first person who has loved me unconditionally. I know that having a child together will deepen our bond even more."
Kris stared at Tao for moment. He knew that he was very important to Tao, but actually being told this made him emotional. He pulled Tao's forehead to his own. "In this life, you are what matters to me most."
Tao looked at Kris with his swollen eyes and locked lips with his lover.
