3.2. Product formation analysis using FT-IR spectraThe IR spectroscopy is the most powerful and useful techniqueadopted by all the chemists to analyze, confirm and elucidate thestructure of compounds and to identify the functional groupspresent in them. Fig. 2 shows the FT-IR spectra of the assynthesized samples recorded using a Schimazdu-IR affinity1spectrophotometer in the range of 4000 cm1–400 cm1. Thebroad peaks around3425 cm1were corresponding to the O–Hstretching mode. The peaks at 425–520 cm1correspond to theZn–O stretching mode (A1 – 485 cm1, A2 – 425 cm1and A3 –516.7 cm1) of vibration. The broad bands at around 500 cm1due to the superposition of two or three separate bands in all thesamples indicate the high orientation of the rods[17].
