Multimedia event capturing is an expensive endeavor. For
example, the TV stations utilize multiple crew members to
carry, install and operate the video, audio and lighting equipment that is used for multimedia capturing. This is not economically feasible for small multimedia companies or for
companies that only have the multimedia information management integrated within their larger business activities.
Ideally, multimedia event capturing should only involve one
person. We call this requirement the “one-man-crew” requirement. Certainly, the “one-man-crew” should possess expertise from several different areas of multimedia capturing
