HOMESTAY PROVISION:
▪ You will be provided with a safe, secure, private bedroom with suitable storage space for clothes, personal
effects and suitable facilities for study.
▪ Your host family will offer help, guidance, support and encouragement with language practice, studies,
planning leisure activities and adapting to life in Australia.
▪ You will receive orientation within the family home eg use of house facilities and security. Applicable house
rules will be explained to you ie meal times, internet and/or telephone protocols, rules regarding smoking,
alcohol, guests visiting, curfews, household tasks and bathroom conduct.
▪ You will have access to bathroom and laundry facilities. Laundry services may be provided where desired
and negotiated by both parties. Ironing is generally not provided.
▪ You will have access to household linen such as towels, sheets and blankets;
▪ Your host family will provide a key to the house for you to allow you free access.
▪ Your host family will show you how to take public transport to your campus and back.
