Availability of quality seed at a reasonable price to the farmers is one of the major
issues of crop production technologies in the developing countries. Production of quality
seed of improved varieties in mungbean during rainy season has been the major issue in
the seed production systems due to climatic adversities as well as uneven distribution of
rainfall during rainy season in Central India. More frequently, rains during pod maturity
resulted in poor quality seeds in terms of physical quality as well as vigour.
