Injury Classification. The soccer injuries were classified
using an adapted version of the Orchard Sports Injury
Classification (OSICS).38 The questionnaire included specific
items to identify the body location of the injury
(including side), type, and mechanism. In addition, the
questionnaire separated items to differentiate between
traumatic injuries (referred to damage produced from
a specific and identifiable event during training or a match)
and overuse injuries (when the damage was not related to
any identifiable event).
