the first thai scholar monk to be mentioned have is Ven. Payutto Bhikkhu (or Phra Brahmagunaporn according to his current samana sakti name following thai tradition). Payutto Bhikkhu received a B.A. degree in Buddhism from Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University and achieved Pali Ix. the highest degree possible in classical Buddhist studies. His most outstanding work is Buddhadhamma (Thai version) Written first in 1970 and expanded in a revised version in 1982. The earlier edition of this book was translated into English by Grant A. Olson and published by the state University of New York Press in 1995. The content of Buddhadhamma, as Payutto Bhikkhu says.
