“My issue lays with the driver service in Bangkok. I had a driver who really did not know where he was going. After a while he asked me if I knew the way to the hotel. In my opinion I should not be asked these kind of question. I found it very convenient to have the driver service in Bangkok as I had never been there. So therefore I would not have to worry about transfer from airport to hotel. After some time of driving around in Bangkok I actually suggested he should call the hotel and check for directions. I gave him the number, he called the hotel and within 20 minutes I stood in the lobby. I am well aware about the cultural difference. Still I would have appreciated a more professional attitude instead of a "cab driver" mentality. It's a bit of a shame that the whole trip ended this way as I was truly satisfied with the rest of the service from being picked up at my home in Amstelveen on my outbound flight until arrival in BKK.
