The distribution of

K radionuclides in the
investigated materials were found to be non-uniform. Exposure of
radiation can be defined in terms of radium equivalent activity
(Raeq) in Bq/kg. The transformation of activity into the radium
equivalent activity (Beretka and Mathew, 1985), was performed by
using Eq.(3):
