Similar with the results in black sea bream Acanthopagrus schlegeli (Ji et al., 2003), vitamin C fortification also decreased
lipid accumulation in the mesenterium and liver in largemouth bass. In contradiction to the report of Falahatkar et al. (2006), in which carcassmoisture and protein contents were little changed, and lipid content was markedly impacted by dietary vitamin C levels in great sturgeon Huso huso, whole-body moisture and protein contents were markedly changed, whilewhole-body lipid conten was poorly affected in response to ASA supplementation in this study.
