Chantaburi City Pillar and Taksin Maharat Shrine
Situated on Tha Luang Road in front of the Taksin Military Barracks are the Chantaburi City Pillar and Takshin Maharat Shrine. A historic structure built during the reign of King Rama VI to present the purpose of the Town Hall stands opposite to them.
Takshin Maharat Memorial
Located in the public park near the Town Hall on Liap Noen Road, Taksin Maharat Memorial is a statue of the king on the horse and together by his four royal guards. A huge pond adds to the amusement of the park and fulfills the purpose of a picnic spot. The pond is having different variety of fishes.
Si Chan Road
Si Chan Road is the business zone of Chantaburi and is a famous center of the gem business. Although, the real gem mining in Chantaburi has lessen over the years, a big number of gems and precious stones marketing with neighboring and far-flung countries are bought and sold here. The Gems Market is busy with bustle and people on the mornings of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
