According to Fox website, “Phubbing” is an emerging tech term and is emerging — anyone who grabbed a smart phone to look it up during a conversation with someone else is guilty of it. In a word, “phubbing” stands for “phone snubbing”, and is described as “the act of snubbing someone in a social setting by looking at your phone instead of paying attention”
“To be honest, I must say I hate smart phone. My grandchildren spent too much time on it. They staring at the screen and refresh their Twitter or Facebook whenever and wherever possible, even on family dinner! ” One grandfather said.
“I know I should chat with my friends, but as you can see, when we waiting for the meal in the restaurant, or waiting for the bus in the station, surfing the Internet through mobile phones is the best way of filling our time.” My friend, Jenny explains.
