Abstract—this paper discusses how to apply the GIS/GPS
technology to the common mobile Logistics business to meet the
requirements of efficient Logistics management. In the full
analysis of GIS (Geographic Information System) and GPS
(Global Positioning System) technology superiority in Logistics,
this paper focuses on the system design issues and principles, and
puts forward a GIS/GPS based solution apply to Logistics
business. A Mobile Logistics Public Information Platform
(MLPIP) is designed independently. The system architecture,
workflow and functional modules are discussed in detail.
